Its worth a visit
Redwings in feeding frenzy in local park
A quick visit to my local park in Dewsbury today with the kids was well worth the visit.Having been impressed by the tidy and well kept appearance of the park i was surprised to find certain returning Winter visitoring birds where equaly enjoying the benefits of the site.
At least 58 Redwings where feeding on the ground adjacent to the Crematorium along with 4 Mistle Thrushes and 7 Blackbirds.
Judging by the hectic manner in which the Redwings where feeding it seemed apparent the birds where not intending to stay very long and I expext them to move along on their return journey back to their breeding territories. There was again 2 Nutatches calling at oppositte ends of the park
