Willow Tit makes welcome return

13/10/2015 21:56

A Willow Tit is frequenting the walk that goes from Healy Road Ossett to Pildacre Chickenley at the moment.Willow Tits have declined in numbers over recent years so the present specimen is a welcome sighting.(see phogallery)

Also small numbers of Redpolls are feeding alon the banks of the river calder just below Earlsheaton at the moment.

A single Chiff Chaff was bathing in a small pond on Kerries Food factory at Ossett this morning.Otherwise things are rather quiet in this area at the moment.
