Yellow Wagtail a nice surprise this morning

A stunning male Yellow Wagtail is feeding on a filter bed on Dewsbury Sewage Works this morning.The birds is keeping company with 4 Pied Wagtails and a single Grey Wagtail on the central beds adjacent to the compost storing area in lower Pildacre and although a little flighty is pretty sedentery in its behavour.

Also on the river below Earlsheaton a single Green Sandpiper on a stony bed in company with 3 Gadwall,2 Teal and 5 Mallard and 2 Goosanders.

The single Common Whitethroat is still singing in Hawthornes on thepublic footpath that runs adjacent to  Low Laithes along with 3 Willow Warblers and 2 Blackcaps.

3 Oyster Catchers are displaying over lower Pildacre Ossett this morning and a Common Buzzard was being mobbed by 3 Carrion Crows over Thornhill at 07:40 this morning.
